1 Delete from within the app
The fastest way to delete your account is in the Veluma app:
- Open the Veluma app and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm, and enter your password when prompted.
Your account and all associated data are then permanently deleted. This happens right away — your login is removed immediately, and all of your stored data is erased from our servers shortly after.
2 Request deletion by email
If you can't access the app, you can request deletion by email. Write to us from the email address associated with your account and we'll permanently delete your account and data.
We complete email-based deletion requests within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
3 What gets deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently remove:
- Your account and login credentials
- Your profile (name, email, and settings)
- Your cycle, period, and fertility data
- Your Love Languages and relationship check-in results
- Your connection points and shared activity history
- Your messages and any shared photos
- All other data tied to your account and your partner pairing
Messages and shared photos are end-to-end encrypted and are erased as part of deletion. Shared photos are also automatically deleted from our servers within 24 hours of being sent, as part of Veluma's normal privacy design.
4 What happens to your partner
Veluma is built for two paired partners. When you delete your account, you are unpaired from your partner, and the history you shared together is deleted. Your partner keeps their own account, but will no longer be connected to you and will need to pair again to use partner features.
5 Data we may retain
After deletion, we do not retain your personal data. In limited cases, we may keep minimal records that we are legally required to retain (for example, to comply with tax, security, or legal obligations), and these are kept only as long as required and then deleted. We never keep your messages, photos, or health data after deletion.
